... And asked if I wanted to go to the truck race in June. YEAH!!
We went last year, and watched the whole race from turn one. He brought sub sandwiches for us all ( his two brothers came along ) Along with sodas.
Not sure if I should bring a camera along or not. I didn't last year. Didn't spend any time in vendor area or merch tents. I think I had to work that day last year.
Any tips on how I can get a pit pass?

Gateway Motorsports park.
There is a go cart track on the infield.

I was answering your question, I think you can go there for the passes you seek.

Not sure how to do that. Actually I did spend a whole ARCA race on the infield and along pit wall, was exciting but you don't see much racing.
I really liked turn 1 as one can see most of track except turns 3-4 were mots wrecks happened as its longer and better to carry speed from back straight. ( KINJA puts photos where it wants instead of at bottom like I want)

I know from personal experience sitting up higher in the bleachers is a good idea.

I got passes for driver introductions at Richmond one year from the tweet-up. And while waiting outside the tunnel to enter, a guy and his son gave us pre-race pit passes that they were finished using.
Or know someone who knows someone who works for the sponsoring company and gets you hospitality and pit passes. That also works

What kind of subs and sodas?

Cans: Mountain Dew, Pepsi, orange.
I don't know what subs, some local deli by his house. They were really good and hit the spot midway through the race. Didn't have to go to vending area to buy anything.
